Introduction – General information about the project

Street “Nikola Karev” with branches 1, 2, 3 and 4

The project activities for the reconstruction of the local streets “Nikola Karev”, “Jane Sandanski”, “Ilindenska” and “Veljko Vlahović” with street branches in the settlement of Star Dojran will take place in the Municipality of Dojran. Each of the streets is connected to the previous one, i.e. the four streets form an interconnected network. Each of the above-mentioned streets has branches that serve as access to housing facilities.

The branches are also subject to this project. The street Nikola Karev L=536.00m with branches branch 1 L=35.28m, branch 2, L=19.05m, branch 3 L=128.66m and branch 4 L=75.46m, and the street Ilindenska L=111.36m with branch 8 L=34.36m. All project streets are less than 5.5 m wide, which requires ensuring a one-way traffic regime throughout the entire street network. The width of the existing arms varies between 2 and 4 m. The streets are concreted and in use for many years and are in very poor condition with various damages, which makes it difficult for the local population to move around. Their expansion is not foreseen, according to the Basic Project, but with the request of the Municipality and approval from the Investor, Nikola Karev Street is envisaged to be 5m wide.
Along the project streets, mainly individual houses are located, as well as accommodation facilities (apartments, villas, etc.).

Street “Ilindenska” with branch 8

The length of the project street is 111.36 m and 145.72 m, calculated with brach 8. The width along the street is 4 m. The route of street “Ilindenska” begins at the intersection with street “Jane Sandanski” and ends at the intersection with street “Veljko Vlahović”.
The incline of the levels are limited according to the existing slopes and the terrain conditions. The maximum and minimum slo[e arise from the configuration of the terrain, i.e. from the slope of the existing road. The minimum longitudinal slope of the streets is 0.28%, while the maximum longitudinal slope is 16.14%, following the existing level.

Street “Jane Sandanski” with branches 5, 6 and 7

The local street “Jane Sandanski” is 122.91 m long, and the total length is 225.74 m, including branches 5, 6 and 7. Its width is 5 m. The route starts from the intersection with “Nikola Karev” street and ends at the intersection with street “Ilindenska”.

Street “Veljko Vlahović” with branch 9

The length of street “Veljko Vlahovic” is 386.46 m and 422.59 m, calculated with leg 9. The width along the street is 3 m. The route of the street begins at the intersection with street “Ilindenska” and ends at the intersection with the local street “Nikola Karev”.

The basic design elements of the streets are:

• Design speed Vp=30 km/h
• Road width 4.00m – 5.00m
• Сross slope one-sided in direction and curve – according to existing
• It is planned to lay new asphalt BHNS16 – 7cm
• Laying a buffer layer – 20cm
• Berm of earth material with a width of 50cm

The local road is part of T7D4. The work is being executed by Zikol MZT.

Total amount for reconstruction of this project is 9.979.063 denars.
