The local road is part of T6D3 and one of two sections under construction in the
Municipality of Bitola under this contract.
The work is being executed by JV BV Inzenering & Fabrika Karpos.

Project Overview

Street “Bursa” or (“Industriska” Street) is located in the south-eastern part of the city of
Bitola and connects the regional road R-1311 (Bitola – Staravina) with the A-3 highway
branch (Bitola – Medzitlija border crossing), with a length of about 4.00 km.

The project includes reconstruction of the local road with the next activities:

•  Marking and securing the route
• Excavation of topsoil
• Wide excavation
• Embankment construction
• Construction of an improved base layer
• Placement of base material
• Installation of concrete curbs (MB40 18/24) in certain sections

Drainage

• Constructing a new AB concrete open channel for atmospheric water
• Constructing a new Ф400 sewerage system for atmospheric water
• Constructing a new AB gutter for atmospheric water
• Construction of several AB culverts and manholes

Pavement Structure

• Base layer of crushed stone: d = 30cm
• BNS 22 asphalt layer: d = 7cm
• AB 11 asphalt layer: d = 5cm
• Traffic signalization and equipment

Total amount for reconstruction of street Bursa is 641,233 EUR.

Prior to construction, the section was paved with granite cubes and in very bad
condition.
