Construction of “St. Kliment Ohridski” Street, Phase III in the Municipality of Gevgelija

General information about the project

The goal of the project is the development of Sveti Kliment Ohridski Street in the municipality of Gevgelija, so that all requirements (project parameters, functionality, economy, safety) are satisfied, as well as the recommendations of the municipality as the end user of the street in question. The local road is part of T9D1.
The axis of the street runs from station 0+000.00 to 1+231.08, i.e. the total length of the street is 1231.08 meters.
The construction works included in the construction of the street in question include:

  • Marking and securing the route
  • Construction of the upper layer of the roadway
  • Procurement, transport and installation of a buffer layer of crushed stone material
  • Construction of a berm
  • Procurement, transport and installation of 18/24 curbs
  • Construction of two asphalt layer (base layer BNS 22sA and base layer AB11s)
  • Installation of traffic signals and equipment
  • Procurement, transport and installation od bitumen emulsion of 0.3-0.5 kg/m2 on a previously cleaned and dust free surface
  • Procurement, transport and machine installation of asphalt concrete AB-11s

The work is being executed by the construction company Bitem JV.

Reconstruction of part of the local st. Metodija Andonov Cento in the village Mrzenci

With this sub-project is planned reconstruction of the existing asphalt road

With the reconstruction are planned the next activities:

  1. Marking the route of new planned sub – project
  2. Removing the existing damaged asphalt road, the existing base course and part of the subgrade.
  3. Leveling, planning and compacting the subgrade until needed.
  4. Leveling and compacting the base course with crushed stone until needed.
  5. Constructing predicted layers of asphalt
  6. Bituminized asphalt layer BNS 16a -6,5sm
  7. Installing curb/edge concrete elements
  8. Constructing concrete access culvert and pipes for drainage the storm water to the recipient
  9. Mapping with horizontal and vertical signalization.
