Project Overview

The local street in v.Volino is the main artery in the street network in the village, which connects the village with the villages of Trebenishta and Mesheishta, with a length of about 1.40 km.

The project includes reconstruction of the street road with the next activities:

  • Marking and securing the route
  • Excavation of topsoil
  • Wide excavation
  • Embankment construction
  • Construction of an improved base layer
  • Placement of base material
  • Installation of concrete curbs (MB40 18/24) in certain sections
  • Electrical installation

Drainage

  • Constructing a new Ф300 sewerage system for atmospheric water

Pavement Structure

  • Base layer of crushed stone: d = 30cm
  • BNAS 16 asphalt layer: d = 7cm
  • Traffic signalization and equipment

Prior to construction, the section was paved with asphalt and in very bad condition.
Total amount for reconstruction of street v.Volino is 500,000 EUR.

Currently, 100% of the section’s construction has been completed.    

Reconstruction of local road to v.Zlesti – v.Belchishta

With this sub-project is planned reconstruction of the existing dirt road and constructing new sidewalks.

With the reconstruction are planned the next activities:

  1. Marking the route of new planned sub – project
  2. Removing the existing dirt layer, the existing base course and part of the subgrade.
  3. Leveling, planning and compacting the subgrade until needed.
  4. Leveling and compacting the base course with crushed stone until needed.
  5. Constructing predicted layers of asphalt
    1. Bituminized asphalt layer BNS 16 – 7sm
  6. Side – hunching for road stabilization
  7. Constructing side earth channel for drainage the storm water to the recipient.
  8. Constructing concrete access culverts.
  9. Mapping with horizontal and vertical signalization.
