Тhe street “Jane Sandanski” is located in the southern part of the city of Demir Kapija. On the northwest and southeast sides, the street merges with existing asphalt streets. The width of the street “Jane Sandanski” is variable and does not meet the criteria for unobstructed vehicle flow and traffic safety. The current condition of the project street is characterized by a dirt road with various visible damages, formed by two arms.
According to the Basic Design, it is planned to lay new asphalt with a width of 5.5m and sidewalks on both sides of the first leg of the street. The second leg is a continuation of the first leg and is planned to be a pedestrian path.
The drainage of the streets is through longitudinal slopes along the entire length of the street. On both sides of the project street “Jane Sandanski” there are only individual houses.
The basic design elements of the street are:
- LEG 2: walking path with variable width ~2.7m
- It is planned to lay new asphalt BHNS16-7cm and install large
- Curbs (18x10x24) on both sides of the roadway on Leg 1 as well as small curbs
- (8×20) along Leg 2 and the newly designed sidewalks
- Leg 2 is a pedestrian path made of paver elements (8x10x20cm)
- Sidewalks are planned along the entire roadway on both sides of the roadway. On the right side, the sidewalk has a variable width (130-270cm) – which is conditioned from the construction plots in the urban plan. The sidewalk on the left side of the roadway is planned with a constant width of 200 cm
The local road is part of T7D4.Total amount for reconstruction of this project is 4218307.5 denars.
With the reconstruction are planned the next activities:
- Marking the route of new planned sub – project
- Removing the existing dirt layer, the existing base course and part of the subgrade.
- Leveling, planning and compacting the subgrade until needed.
- Leveling and compacting the base course with crushed stone until needed.
- Constructing predicted layers of asphalt
- Bituminized asphalt layer BNS 16 – 8sm
- Installing curb/edge concrete elements
- Leveling the existing manholes and constructing new manholes where needed.
- Constructing sidewalks with paver elements.
- Installing pipes for fiber optic cable.
- Constructing pipes for drainage the storm water to the recipient
- 11. Mapping with horizontal and vertical signalization.
With this sub-project is planned reconstruction of the existing dirt road and constructing new sidewalks.
